Sangar Security/Lyon Security Solutions
Natasha worked passionately most of her career in the soft services industry, 23 years to date. After becoming a single mom suddenly in 2012, when her late husband passed away, she invested in a security business to create a career for herself, as well as creating a life where she could be there for young daughter. Natasha was able to take that same drive and apply it her my venture of boxing promoting in 2016. (I sold this business in 2018)
Lyon Promotions
Natasha started LP in 2016 for the boxing promoting when she, was approached by Howard Goldberg, President of the World Boxing Federation (WBF) to be the promoter for a world title boxing tournament in Khayelitsha, the first of its kind, giving her the prestigious opportunity to work with the likes of legendary title boxing champion Francois Botha (The White Buffalo), Uwe Huck, and local world title champion Bukiwe Beekay Nonina and Mzuvukile Magwaca etc. This evolved into further eventing as well. These events included gala functions, weddings, year-end celebrations, personal celebrations, public talks and workshops, team sports events, under 18 events (in association with PLAYHOUSE). Natasha had previously managed events in her private capacity with her late husband Glen Lyon who facilitated many corporate and private events successfully for 11 years, so LP felt like a natural progression...

Lyon Promotions were proud to be a part of the Hirsch's fashion show showcasing young modern South African Designers. Dakota Lyon wore one of designer's Sew Sara's beautiful designs and performed two beautiful inspiring songs in tribute to all the wonderful women involved in this inspiring and wonderful event in support of our talented young South African Designers and the ladies in fashion. Lyon Promotions proudly sponsored and provided music and sound engineering as well as the performance by Dakota Lyon. A phenomenal opportunity afforded by Margaret Hirsch.
The COE of Hirsch's, Margaret Hirsch recently opened a new shop in Milnerton called Inspirations. The shop gives local young up and coming fashion designers the opportunity to showcase their clothing and accessories without charge. Over 170 guests attended the launch and fashion show that was held recently showcasing the latest Spring Collections from Sew Sara, Ilzembatho Creations, AFARA, La Classique, Lady Belle, Sadia Abraham, Shannon Webb, Sherbit, Infiniti, Modestly Captured and Zara. The models that took part in the show were taught and groomed by Audacious Finishing Academy, and the makeup was done by Helen Cook Hair and Make Up. Hair was done by Katz Hair and Beauty Studio.
Lucky draw prizes were given out during the evening, including day spa vouchers, hand bags proudly sponsored by Hanger19, a reflexology voucher valued at R7000, a massage voucher from Katz Beauty and Makeup Studio, R200 jewellery vouchers from Swarovski crystals, wine from Bayede and the use of the new Alfa Romeo for a weekend. Guests enjoyed listening to singing sensation Caitlin Human performing Photograph, and 12 year old Dakota Lyon sang Rise Up, a song that that left the audience blown away. Natasha Lyon is an enthusiastic, positive and inspiring woman personality, former radio presenter for local community radio station ONE FM 94. Her previous experience in the corporate sector, as a business owner, boxing promoter and having become a single mother overnight has driven her to passionately inspire all women by relating, encouraging, recognising and with motivation and interviews of successful women in their own right. She is dedicated to being involved in working with people and initiatives to uplift communities and inspire people.
Working for ONE FM 94.0 had been a natural fit for her, especially working with the One Fm team that certainly live up to their motto "Together As One" and is the No.1 Community Radio Station that she was very proud to be a part of.
Natasha had hosted the Women's Wednesday Show, Designing Women 6-9pm.
